Taken within the last 3 months
Facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown
Plain white background with a matte or semi-matte finish
No scanned or unclear photographs accepted
Accommodation Proof: Confirmed hotel voucher, cruise confirmation voucher, or invitation letter from a friend/relative (with invitee ID proof, passport, or residence card copy, and their financial documents)
Flight Ticket: Confirmed flight reservation (India to onward and return flights)
Itinerary: Day-wise itinerary or travel agent's letterhead detailing travel plans
Travel Insurance: Mandatory with coverage of minimum 30,000 Euros or 50,000 USD per person
Covers all expenses including repatriation, medical emergency, or hospitalization
Insurance should cover the entire stay in the Schengen territory
Proof of Sufficient Funds: Last 6 months' bank statements (signed and attested by a bank official) or bank statement of the sponsor, if applicable
Statements must be dated within the last week
Income Tax Return (ITR): Income tax return assessment for the last 3 years (or sponsor’s ITR)
Cover Letter: Covering letter from the applicant (on A4 size paper if employed, or business letterhead if self-employed)
Employment Letter: Official company letterhead, stamped and dated, with contact information
Should mention the applicant’s name, position, salary, years of employment, and approval for absence
No Objection Certificate (NOC): NOC from school/institute (if the applicant is a student or minor)
GST Copy: If self-employed, a copy of GST registration
Leave Letter: Leave letter from the employer along with an employment ID card copy (if employed)
Biometric:
Required for first-time Schengen visa applicants (children under 12 are exempt)
Previously submitted biometric data (after 2nd November 2015) is valid for 59 months for Schengen travel
Schengen Area: The Netherlands is part of the 26 Schengen countries.
