Note: The processing time starts from the time of application submission.
Passport :
Regional passport issued within the last 10 years.
Valid for at least 6 months beyond the last intended departure date from Luxembourg.
Must contain at least two blank visa pages.
Should have no alterations or handwritten amendments on the data pages.
Photographs : Three recent color passport-sized photographs (35 mm wide by 45 mm high without borders).
The facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown.
Taken against a plain white background with a matte or semi-matte finish.
Note: Scanned or unclear photographs will not be accepted.
Accommodation Proof : Confirmed hotel voucher, cruise confirmation voucher, or an invitation letter with the invitee's ID proof, passport or residence card copy, and their financial documents if staying with friends or relatives.
Flight Ticket : Confirmed flight reservation (India to Luxembourg and return).
Itinerary : Day-wise travel plan on plain A4 paper or on the travel agent’s letterhead if booked through a travel agent.
Travel Insurance :
Mandatory travel insurance with coverage of a minimum of 30,000 Euros or 50,000 USD per person, covering the entire stay in the Schengen area.
The insurance should include repatriation for medical reasons and emergency medical treatment.
Proof of Sufficient Funds :
Last 6 months’ bank statement signed and stamped by a bank official if the applicant is employed, or the sponsor's bank statement if not employed.
All bank statements must be dated within the last week.
Income Tax Return (ITR) : ITR for the last 3 years if the applicant is employed; if not, ITR of the person sponsoring the trip.
Cover Letter : A covering letter from the applicant on A4 paper (if employed) or on a business letterhead (if self-employed).
Employment Letter
Employment letter on official company letterhead, stating the applicant's name, position, salary, years of employment, and approval of absence for the trip.
No Objection Certificate (NOC)
NOC from the school/institute along with a Xerox of the ID card (if the applicant is a student or minor).
GST Copy
GST registration copy for self-employed applicants.
Leave Letter
Leave letter from the company along with a copy of the employment ID card (if employed).
Biometric
First-time applicants must appear in person for biometric data submission.
Children under 12 are exempt from biometric submission.
Previously submitted biometric data (after 2nd November 2015) is valid for 59 months for Schengen countries.
Luxembourg is a Schengen Area country, and a visa for Luxembourg is valid for travel to other Schengen countries.
Schengen Area Countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
If traveling to multiple Schengen countries, Luxembourg should be the country with the longest stay or the first country of entry.
Applicants must provide all mandatory documents. Additional documents may be requested by the embassy.
Visa Fee: Non-refundable whether the visa is approved or rejected.
Processing Time: Indicative and may vary based on factors such as the submission time.
