Passport: Original passport issued within the last 10 years.
Valid for 6 months beyond the last intended date of departure from France.
Should contain at least 2 blank visa pages.
Must have no alterations or handwritten amendments in the data pages.
Photograph: Three recent colored passport-size photographs (35 mm wide by 45 mm high, no border), taken within the last 3 months.
Facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown.
Plain white background with a matt or semi-matt finish.
Scanned or unclear photographs will not be accepted.
Accommodation Proof: One of the following:
Holding/Confirmed Hotel Voucher.
Cruise Confirmation Voucher.
Invitation letter from friend/relative with their ID proof, passport/residence card copy, and financial documents (email with colored scan copies will work).
Flight Ticket: Confirmed flight reservation (India to onward and Return).
Itinerary: Day-wise itinerary on plain A4 size paper, or if booked via travel agent, on their letterhead.
Travel Insurance:
Mandatory travel insurance with coverage of minimum 30,000 Euros or 50,000 USD per person.
Should cover expenses for medical repatriation, urgent medical attention, or emergency hospital treatment.
Insurance must cover the entire stay in the Schengen territory.
Applicants for 6 months or one-year multiple-entry visas may submit insurance that covers the first journey only.
Proof of Sufficient Funds:
Last 6 months' bank statement, signed and attested by a bank official (if employed). Otherwise, provide the bank statement of the person sponsoring your trip.
All bank statements must be dated within the last 1 week.
Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last 3 years (if employed). Otherwise, the ITR of the person sponsoring the trip.
Cover Letter: Covering letter on A4 Size Paper (if employed) or Business Letterhead (if self-employed).
Employment Letter: Employment letter on official company letterhead, stamped and dated, stating the applicant’s name, position, salary, years of employment, and approval for absence after returning.
NOC (No Objection Certificate): From the School/Institute with a Xerox of ID card (for students/minors).
GST Copy: For self-employed applicants, a GST copy is required.
Leave Letter: Leave letter from the company along with a copy of Employment ID card (if employed).
Biometric:
Indian citizens applying for the Schengen visa for the first time must provide biometric data.
Children under 12 are exempt from this requirement.
Previously submitted biometric data (since November 2, 2015) is valid for 59 months for any Schengen country.
Some countries may require re-submission of biometric data.
