Italy Visa Application Document Checklist

Documents Required:

1. Passport 

   • Original passport with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond the intended date of departure from Italy.

   • Must have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

   • Passports issued beyond 10 years will not be accepted by the embassy.

2. Schengen Visa Application Form 

   • One visa application form (printed back-to-back).

   • Must be duly filled and signed on columns 37 and 38.

   • Ensure to mention the applicant's mobile number in the form, as the embassy/consulate may contact the applicant during the visa processing.

3. Photographs 

   • Two recent passport-sized colored photographs (size: 35mm x 45mm).

   • Must have a matt or semi-matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background, and no border.

   • Photographs should not be more than 3 months old, scanned, stapled, or used in previous visas.

4. Covering Letter 

   • Original covering letter from the applicant on company letterhead.

   • The letter must include:

     • Applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of the visit.

     • Signed by an authorized signatory with the company stamp.

     • Addressed to: The Visa Officer, Embassy of Italy, New Delhi.

5. Invitation Letter 

   • Copy of the invitation letter from the Italian company.

     • Must be in Italian/English language, signed by the authorized person.

     • Include a photocopy of the pages of their picture ID (passaporto or carta d’identita) containing relevant data, signature, and validity of the document.

     • VISURA CAMERALE from the Italian company.

   • Note: A copy of the photo ID proof of the invitee and the invitee company’s registration certificate is mandatory.

6. Financial Documents 

   • Company and Personal ITR for the last 3 years.

   • Original Bank Statement for the last 6 months with bank seal and sign (on A4 size paper).

   • Salary Slips for the last 6 months.

   • Company Registration Certificate and GST Certificate.

7. Proof of Accommodation 

   • Hotel booking if not included in the invitation letter.

   • Note: The hotel should match the ticket dates and the stay should be within Italy.

8. Airline Reservation : Confirmed ticket itinerary.

9. Medical Insurance

   • Original medical insurance for the stay duration, covering a minimum of 30,000 Euros.

   • Insurance must be obtained from authorized insurance companies.

• Ensure all documents are up to date and meet the specified requirements.

• Any missing or incorrect documents may lead to a delay or rejection of the visa application.
