Documents Required
Passport
Original passport issued within the last 10 years.
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the last intended date of departure from Belgium.
Should contain at least 2 blank visa pages.
No alterations or handwritten amendments on data pages.
Photograph
Three recent colored passport-sized photographs (35mm wide x 45mm high, without border).
Facial image must be between 25mm and 35mm (chin to crown).
Taken within the last 3 months against a plain white background with matt or semi-matt finish.
Scanned or unclear photographs will not be accepted.
Accommodation Provide any of the following:
Confirmed hotel booking voucher.
Cruise confirmation voucher.
If staying with a friend or relative, submit an invitation letter along with the invitee’s ID proof, passport/residence card copy, and their financial documents (scanned colored copies via email are acceptable).
Flight Ticket: Confirmed flight reservation (India to Belgium and return).
Itinerary: Day-wise travel plan on plain A4 paper. If booked through a travel agent, the itinerary should be on the agency's letterhead.
Travel Insurance
Mandatory with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros or 50,000 USD per person.
Must include expenses for repatriation, urgent medical care, or emergency hospital treatment.
The insurance must cover the entire stay in the Schengen area.
For applicants seeking 6 months or 1-year multiple-entry visas, insurance coverage for the first journey is sufficient.
Proof of Sufficient Funds:
Last 6 months’ bank statement signed and attested by a bank official.
For employed applicants: Personal bank statement.
For sponsored trips: Bank statement of the sponsor.
Statements must be dated within the last week.
ITR (Income Tax Return)
Last 3 years’ ITR assessment for employed applicants.
For sponsored trips: ITR of the sponsor.
Cover Letter
A cover letter from the applicant:
On A4 size paper (if employed).
On business letterhead (if self-employed).
Employment Letter : An official employment letter on company letterhead, stamped, and dated, including:
Contact information (address, email, phone number).
Name, position, and signature of the signing officer.
Applicant’s name, position, salary, years of employment, and approval of leave/position retention after returning.
NOC (No Objection Certificate) For students/minors: NOC from the school/institute along with a copy of the student ID card.
GST Copy : If self-employed, submit a GST copy.
Leave Letter : Leave approval letter from the employer with a copy of the employee ID card.
Biometric Data: Indian citizens applying for a Schengen visa for the first time must appear in person for biometric submission.
Exemptions: Children under 12 years of age.
Previously submitted biometric data (after November 2, 2015) is valid for 59 months.
Re-submission may be required at the discretion of the Schengen member country.
Appointments for biometric data submission will be scheduled at the designated Visa Application Center (VFS).
Assistance fees, VFS charges (including taxes), and visa fees of 90 EUR must be paid at the time of biometric submission.

Issuance of single/multiple-entry visas is solely at the discretion of the Belgium Embassy.
